Welcome

Thanks for stopping by the blog of Sarah Pratt Photography. Here you'll find sneak peaks of our beautiful clients and previews of the magic captured during their sessions. This is also the place to find promos, specials and calls for models when they come up.

A little about me, the Sarah behind Sarah Pratt Photography: I have always had a creative knack and flair for photography. I've also always loved kids and they seem to naturally gravitate towards me. Mix the two together and we have good old fashioned fun while capturing their spirit and personality in photos that you'll cherish for a lifetime. See for yourself!

What makes Sarah Pratt Photography different? Custom portraits are a luxury and something everyone should experience at least once in their life. My style is simple and fun. Sessions are relaxed, fun and freeing and result in images that are real, spontaneous and fresh; not stiff and super-posed like department store shots. I aim to capture the love and emotion that make you and your family uniquely you. Custom photography is not for everyone, but my clients enjoy personal attention to detail and exquisite, high-quality fine art images and products to display in their homes. The session experience is a memorable one as well. Not only do you have the opportunity to decorate your home with beautiful art, there will be fond memories and stories behind every shot. Smiles are guarenteed!

New year… new baby

Photographing this little man was the perfect way to start 2012!

Favorite

Sessions like these remind me that family sessions really are my favorite! For me, nothing beats capturing the interactions of families and siblings and a family just being their adorable selves! Its been two years since I met this beautiful family and it was so fun to see  just how the kid’s little personalities have developed. Last time Little Miss wasn’t standing without holding on to something and was all smiles, while Big E was shy and may have shed a few tears. Yesterday, they kept me laughing with their inquisitive little personalities, silly faces and sweet smiles.

So here is a quick preview because I just can’t keep them to myself, but need to get back to editing the rest!

They did so great, we took a break for high-fives!

Check out these eyes. This is straight out of the camera!

He is so grown up and so good at this!

two.0

I’ve been photographing LOTS of two year olds lately and while they always keep me on my toes, its photos like these that make it worth it.

Couldn’t resist

I’m way behind with blogging sessions (I promise I will catch up this weekend), but I had to share this one I just came across as I’m editing… It should have a caption like “Hey sis, tell me what you want from Santa!” :)

Organic Blooms are in the house!

And in the woods! :) I don’t have all that much well lit wall space in my house, so I took these beauties outside for their modeling debut.

Let me know if you’d like to add any of these beauties or a custom collection to your home. (Holiday order deadline is November 19th)

Fall + Family

Thankfully the rain cleared out for us to get this morning’s session in at Borderland State Park. I love fall mornings and apparently a LOT of other families and photographers do too. I can’t imagine that any of the others were as gorgeous a family as my clients though. :) See for yourself with this fun sneak peak…

Seven days new

And oh so perfect…!

Boutique frames

I can honestly say I never in a million years thought I’d offer frames. I’m a canvas girl. I just love canvases. Getting into frames just never interested me. Lets face it, I’m a photographer, not a framer.

That was all until I saw The Organic Bloom frames (you may recognize them from People’s article on singer Jewel’s son’s nursery). They are just as stunning as gallery wrapped canvases and I HAD to have them! They come in 62 shapes and 53 colors. The options are endless and so fun! There are even double-stacks and twin double stack options! Complimentary in-home ordering sessions will also be available for clients looking for some assistance in planning out their order and decorating with these frames and/or canvases.

To celebrate this introduction, I’m offering these GORGEOUS frames a la carte at 20% off* through the holidays. (Remember, November 15th is the deadline for holiday orders.) In 2012, I’ll be adding them to collections.

*Frames may be purchased with or without a photo session. Frames and prints sold separately.

So her…

What I love most about these images is that I was able to capture Maggie being sweet Maggie. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting with her several times over the past few months and each and every time, she lets her precious little personality shine no matter how she’s feeling, but to be able to capture it on camera, well that was just the icing on the cake. (She was perfect for testing out my new vintage suitcases too!) :)

Photographing Maggie and her family is a little prelude into one of the projects I mentioned I’m working on, but can’t share with you quite yet. I’m so excited about it though, here is a hint… it has to do with my passions – photography and helping families with children with cancer… Can you see where this is going yet? :) More to come soon.

I also wanted to share info about an upcoming fundraiser for Maggie and her family on Friday September 30th at the PACC in Taunton. You can get more info at http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=153871181368313 or Taunton Federal Credit Union. Hope to see you there!!
