A few more

I couldn’t resist… If he didn’t find it so painful, I’d say he might have a modeling career in his future!

Oh to be a senior in high school again…

Thanks David (and Mona!) for a great afternoon at the marina and jette.  You were such a good sport!  You secretly had a good time, I know you did!  Here is a quick sneak peek.  I couldn’t resist, this first one is SO David!  Plenty more to come…

My favorite things…

My very first blog post… I’ve been thinking about it a lot.  I really wanted to post before my next photo session, but the question was what do I post.  Do I just post a few of my favorite photos?  Do I post photos from my vacation on Nantucket earlier this month?  What do I post in the absence of a current photo session?  Do I post about something unrelated to photography going on in my life?

And then it came to me… Those that know me, know that aside from having a passion for photography, I have a tireless passion for helping families of children with cancer, helping to find the cure and raise awareness for cancer.  My two favorite things - photography and fighting cancer - what a perfect first post!

This Sunday, I’m walking the Jimmy Fund Walk in support of a dear friend’s 5-year old daughter Mary fighting a rare type of childhood cancer.  Mary and her sister Katie have been the focus of much of my photography over the last couple years and in fact make up a good chunk of my favorite shots!

So I’m going to make a shameless plug and ask those who can to donate to support the walk in honor of Mary and the far to many other children and adults fighting this battle.  You can donate online by clicking here.  Thanks to the great team at Dana Farber Mary started Kindergarten a few weeks ago; a milestone we were uncertain she’d reach.  The walk supports research for a cure – Mary needs a cure.  Thanks for anything and everything you might do to help in this fight.

And without further ado, meet Mary and Katie…
