Sisters

Before the week flies by and I find myself on vacation in Denver, CO, wondering where the heck the week went, I thought I’d better post a quick peak of today’s shoot.  Today’s shoot was a little different from what I’ve had lately… big kids!! :)  We had fun be-bopping around Boston and got some fun shots I think their parents will be thrilled to receive for their upcoming anniversary!

These first two are actually ones we caught at the last minute and unplanned, down an adorable little street off Charles Street.

This one has a little story… apparently, they prefer you to stay off the trees in Boston Common!  This was the only one I could snap before getting the evil stare down from the appearing-out-of-nowhere-policeman… Sheeesh!

Thanks for a fun day in the city, ladies!

Spencer

Spencer was just 5 months when I first met his wonderful family as they were recipients of the complimentary session I donated to a fundraiser.  Since then, I’ve gotten to know them all very well and was honored to be asked to take Spencer’s first birthday pictures before his first big party.  He was a little stingy with the smiles but we got some good ones!

The light this weekend was as yummy as the cake we ate after he blew out the candle!   I can’t believe how strawberry his hair is starting to look in certain light!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LITTLE MAN!!!

One Mission

Tonight I went to a great little fundraiser for One Mission, a foundation that supports families with kids with cancer at District on Lincoln Street in Boston.  One Mission was founded by a mom whose son Nicholas was diagnosed with cancer at 7 month old and in the hospital at the same time my friend Kristina’s daughter Mary was.  Nicholas’ mom vowed to create a foundation to help families with fighting pediatric cancer and tonight was a great Cocktails for a Cure fundraiser.

What made it more fun was that one of my photos of Mary was used for the poster for the event!!

Those who know me, know fighting childhood cancer is as much a passion for me as photography!  Tomorrow night is another fundraiser for Miles for Mary (the cutie pictured above), the Pan Mass Challenge Team that rides in her honor.  Some lucky raffle winner will walk away with a complimentary Sarah Pratt Photography photo session!!

The results…

First of all I wanted to thank everyone for visiting my blog, viewing my photography and voting on their favorite images for the canvas contest!

Without further adieu, I’d like to present to you the images that received the top number of votes…

Thanks again for voting, I’m sure these families thank you too!!!  And to the clients of the 8 finalist images (and all my clients, in fact)- thanks for sharing your amazing children with me and allowing me to capture these little moments in time for you!

Scheduling note- If you’re interested in scheduling a session this summer, please don’t wait too long to contact me, I’m already booking into July!

Cheers!
