…this family should be able to kick cancer’s butt no problem!
Saturday’s session was so great, in so many ways – for me, for them, and for Kids Kickin’ Cancer. The session was my first donated session to Kids Kickin’ Cancer, a great local charity helping families with kids with cancer. It was also the family’s first family photo in more than five years. One of the first things mom said was, “I’ve been trying to do this for five years. But the last time we rescheduled, Sean was then admitted to the hospital…” And for me, well, those who know me best, know this is all I’d do if it were up to me!
Anyway, we pretty much just laughed and had a great time! It really was an honor for me to capture not only these photos for this amazing family, but help them create such fun memories. I assure you, there is no shortage of love in this family and this my friends, is what photography is about. Here are a few of my favorites (a few disclaimers: I edited on my laptop, so hopefully the color isn’t too far off, there was LOTS of green, and Brendan, don’t hate me for including your funny face one, we all know you were following Sean’s lead that I didn’t catch) since I just can’t wait to edit the whole session before I share.
