Thankfully the rain cleared out for us to get this morning’s session in at Borderland State Park. I love fall mornings and apparently a LOT of other families and photographers do too. I can’t imagine that any of the others were as gorgeous a family as my clients though.

I tend to photograph more toddlers and babies than school aged/tweens, so it was really fun to spend some time with H & S last weekend. The best part – mom and dad said H never smiles. HA! The same boy I was photographing? I don’t believe it for a second! These black and whites are for mom. But I couldn’t resist a couple in color.
I just realized the other day, this is our first fall with Smokey. He’s so loved and makes our family of three, its like we’ve had him forever, but it really was just last January we got him. So of course that means we have no fall photos of him! There will probably be more once we rake tomorrow, but for now, here are a few from our Wildland Trust adventure today.
There just still might be hope for him to be a hunting dog after all! 
If you’ve never been to a polo match, put it on your bucket list! I’m serious. It’s the best of football tailgating, brought field side. You just hang out, have a great time and watch the game (the people watching is quite fun as well). It’s a must experience.
Anyway, I went a couple of weekend’s ago and not only did I discover it’s a new favorite sport to watch, but that Glen Farm, where its held in RI, is an amazing place for a session! My friend Katie helped me test it out. The sun was shining bright while we were there and we made due, but I can only imagine how perfect it would be during the “magic” hours before sunset!

And since it was really about the polo match… its only right I include a few to prove that’s actually where we were.

I know I’m a bit biased, but I think our new dog Smokey (well, new to us as of the end of January – he’s a 2 year old black lab) is one handsome fellow. He’s finally getting settled in with us, is thankfully over his separation anxiety and doing great. He’s also making a GREAT model for me to photograph, too. Here are my weekend favorites.
At last I’m back from being lost among boxes for a few weeks! What started out today as a mission to find my monitor calibrator in one of the many boxes in the office (so I could get to editing the many sessions I have back logged with the move), turned into a closet shelving extravaganza including two trips to Lowes and some quality time with the level, hammer and screwdriver (drills are for sissys, LOL)! Now that that’s all over I could actually put things away in the office and as luck would have it found my little calibration gizmo and here the long overdue sneak peaks begin…
Caroline won a session gift certificate at a Miles for Mary, Pan Mass Challenge fundraiser last year and wanted to use it to take photos with her horse. It took us over a year to get together, but I think it was worth the wait!
