Favorite

Sessions like these remind me that family sessions really are my favorite! For me, nothing beats capturing the interactions of families and siblings and a family just being their adorable selves! Its been two years since I met this beautiful family and it was so fun to see  just how the kid’s little personalities have developed. Last time Little Miss wasn’t standing without holding on to something and was all smiles, while Big E was shy and may have shed a few tears. Yesterday, they kept me laughing with their inquisitive little personalities, silly faces and sweet smiles.

So here is a quick preview because I just can’t keep them to myself, but need to get back to editing the rest!

They did so great, we took a break for high-fives!

Check out these eyes. This is straight out of the camera!

He is so grown up and so good at this!

Holiday cards v2011

Yes, its that time of year again… that time when I introduce super new holiday card designs for you to select after your fall session and leave you thinking “How can the holidays actually be just a few months away, AGAIN?” (Sadly, last year’s cards never made a public debut on the blog, but if you’d like to see ALL your options that include all the designs from year’s past, click here.) Here are the designs for this year – fun, flat cards (that look awesome printed on pearl paper!) with room for a large photo that can even be put in a frame for the rest of the year!

P.S. The availability left for this holiday season is very limited. Current openings, subject to change at any time, are Sept 18, Sept 24 evening only, Oct 15 evening only, Oct 23 evening only, Nov 12. Any 2011 session images can be used for holiday cards with no minimum order required. All holiday orders must be placed by November 15th to guarantee holiday delivery.

SARAH PRATT PHOTOGRAPHY {Dallas} Boston Family Photographer

Last week I visited a dear friend in Dallas, Texas. We were long overdue to catch up and it was great to hang out with her and the kiddos and enjoy some time away from the normal grind.

If you ever visit Dallas, I highly recommend visiting the Arboretum. It is heaven on earth, especially for a photographer! Despite being a bit too hot for me (98 degrees and a 50lb camera bag mid-day aren’t a great combo), it was worth every once of sweat! I’m already scheming a trip back in “cooler” weather. :) Check out these pics of my amazing hostess and her cherubs.

PSAs- Massachusetts needs Pei Wei to come to the state (Imagine PF Changs on a budget! AMAZING!) and a Whole Foods like the meca in Dallas! :)

Ever since I started posting quick sneak peaks on Facebook, I’ve been kinda slacking on the blog front. Hope these blog previews were worth the wait.

We’ll start it off with this sweet newborn that will forever be watched over by a very special guardian ladybug-angel.  You’ll be seeing a lot of her in the next year – her godmother signed her up for our Baby Plan! 

 

Now, we’ll jump to my sweet godson! You’ll be seeing a lot of him in the future too! :) Leave it to his 2 yr old brother to not want anything to do with him, but still steal the show!

 

 The next blog post will be of my “first” godson and his family. Wow, I feel old!

SARAH PRATT PHOTOGRAPHY {Catching up!} Boston Childrens Photographer

There just aren’t enough hours in the day or days in the week… So here I am catching up a few weeks late on a few previews. The good news is, these families have their galleries and got sneak peaks on Facebook because they’re fans of Sarah Pratt Photography. (Which, if you aren’t a fan yet, what are you waiting for? One lucky Facebook Fan is going to win something for Mother’s Day and you don’t want to miss it!)

Summer session update: I have availability for one more weekend session in May and a few weekday sessions the last week in June. Weekend sessions are now booking in July, so don’t wait to schedule your summer session!

New collections have also been added to help you get more of what you’re looking for, whether its prints for the walls, digital negatives or a little of both. Learn more when you schedule your spring/summer session.

Another new addition is the must have 3×3 accordian albums! These photos don’t do them justice. Once you see it in person, you’ll know exactly why they’re a must have!

SARAH PRATT PHOTOGRAPHY {Spring is in the air} Boston Childrens Photographer

Happy New Year! Happy Snow Days! Happy Groundhog Day! Happy Valentine’s Day! But most importantly, Happy Spring is in the air!!

If you can’t tell, I’m getting punchy about spring coming! Who isn’t, right? I’ve enjoyed a mellow start to 2011 and am ready to get back to capturing special moments and beautiful smiles. So I’ve spent a bit of time getting things in order for the spring sessions that will be here before we know it. One of MANY things I did this weekend was upgrade the blog to a newer version of Wordpress. Let me just say, I think I held my breath the whole time it was updating for fear that my blog would be totally wiped out. Thankfully, it worked!

You might not notice many differences right now, but I promise they’re coming.  A few that you CAN see are the Facebook Like button and the Share the Love social media bookmark bar at the bottom of each post. AND if you’re viewing us on an iPhone or similar devise, you’ll see we’re also now available in a ”mobile friendly” theme. Cool huh?! So if you like it, share it! Last but not least, Sarah Pratt Photography is also now on Facebook. Click here to become a fan and I promise to have Facebook only specials in the future.

Phew! That was a lot of new stuff for one post, so I guess the rest will have to wait until next time. I’ll give you a hint though… you’ve been asking for them for a while and I’ve finally gotten with the program. Stay tuned for the next post to find out what it is!
