Saturday’s session was so great, in so many ways – for me, for them, and for Kids Kickin’ Cancer. The session was my first donated session to Kids Kickin’ Cancer, a great local charity helping families with kids with cancer.  It was also the family’s first family photo in more than five years. One of the first things mom said was, “I’ve been trying to do this for five years. But the last time we rescheduled, Sean was then admitted to the hospital…” And for me, well, those who know me best, know this is all I’d do if it were up to me!

Anyway, we pretty much just laughed and had a great time! It really was an honor for me to capture not only these photos for this amazing family, but help them create such fun memories. I assure you, there is no shortage of love in this family and this my friends, is what photography is about. Here are a few of my favorites (a few disclaimers: I edited on my laptop, so hopefully the color isn’t too far off, there was LOTS of green, and Brendan, don’t hate me for including your funny face one, we all know you were following Sean’s lead that I didn’t catch) since I just can’t wait to edit the whole session before I share. :)

Here is to kickin’ cancer’s butt!

For me, nothing beats capturing the interactions of families and siblings and a family just being their adorable selves! Its been two years since I met this beautiful family and it was so fun to see  just how the kid’s little personalities have developed. Last time Little Miss wasn’t standing without holding on to something and was all smiles, while Big E was shy and may have shed a few tears. Yesterday, they kept me laughing with their inquisitive little personalities, silly faces and sweet smiles.

So here is a quick preview because I just can’t keep them to myself, but need to get back to editing the rest!

They did so great, we took a break for high-fives!
