Many of you have been following the blog for a while (thank you!) and know the back story to my business start and my muses. (For those that are newer – yay! – you can catch up if you want by reading this, this and this.) Well last month, my amazing bestie and her family welcomed baby Jessica into the world. And with that, a new muse of mine was born!
I have to say editing these images was emotional and perhaps the reason its taken me numerous attempts to complete.
I usually prefer color images over black and whites for portraits, but definitely love a great occasional black and white. But these images, especially after hanging out with the girls camera free for a few hours yesterday, are better in black and white. For some reason, I think the black and white has a way of communicating the intense love this baby girl has surrounding her, just a little more than color. I can’t really describe it, but perhaps you can see what I mean… But for the last two, color was required. 🙂

Gorgeous! Just gorgeous! I could look at these all day! To say we love them is a massive understatement!
Sarah I went back and looked at your past This, This, This and cried, cried, cried. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I’ve seen them all before but as always it is hard! Not quite sure how you cansee while putting them together. 🙂
Mona, I’ve never cried editing a session before today… Thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful family!
Breathtaking, what you captured is beyond amazing. Tears, simply brought me to tears. Beautiful work, as always, but these are a bit extra special.
These are unbelievably beautiful and touching and so so special. Love to you all!
Sarah, These are absolute perfection. The love just radiates from each photo! Xo
