Favorite

I’m not one to pick favorites (except for my very first blog post), but hands down, my favorite sessions are those I donate to families with children with cancer. Family photos are so important to making memories for any family, but for cancer families, professional photos are the last thing they have time or extra money for between the frequency of clinic visits and constant medical expenses. Helping them create memories and capturing images of them just being a family, with no excuse not to, is one that literally gives me a natural high. (I was asked recently what I’d do with a million dollars. The answer? Pay the bills and just photograph families with kids or parents with cancer…)

So without further adieu, I’d like you to meet an incredible little miracle. Born with a brain tumor, Chloe has been through more in her two and a half years than most will experience in their lifetime. Having kicked cancer’s butt, she is now getting ready to be a big sister in the fall and it was my honor to capture this exciting time for her family before 4 becomes 5. Way to go Chloe!!

Oh, and that thing about favorites? Clearly there were too many too… 🙂
